“Flora è contrariata” è un’azione performativa che dà voce e corpo a Flora, figura della natura e della primavera, qui oltraggiata, offesa ma resistente.
Una lingua poetica contamina visivo e sonoro, testuale e materiale, generando attriti e disorientamenti. Nadia Tamanini scompone il linguaggio, rovescia l’alfabeto, fa rimbalzare i suoni, destruttura e ricompone le parole. Nella frizione tra suono e significato, tra errore e riscrittura, si aprono nuovi spazi di riflessione e senso.
Avvolta in un tessuto di lino imbottito e trapuntato, sul quale sono ricamate parole per assonanza, allitterazione e anagrammi, l’artista interagisce su una composizione pre-registrata, che diventa partitura visiva e sonora, accompagnando il corpo in un processo di trasformazione.
Nel giardino, due sculture tessili della serie Imparaticci, “esercizi di rinnovata scrittura”, sono altri luoghi dell’errore e dell’errare, in cui la fantasia linguistica riapre interrogativi antichi: dalla parola REA prende avvio la poesia sonora performata, che nel suo dispiegarsi si fa insieme ballata e preghiera.
Nuova produzione per BAW 2026; le sculture sono state realizzate durante una residenza a Lottozero a Prato nel 2025.

„Flora è contrariata“ (Flora ist verstimmt) ist ein performativer Akt, die Flora Stimme und Körper gibt - als Gestalt der Natur und des Frühlings, hier geschmäht und verletzt, doch widerständig.
Eine poetische Sprache lässt das Visuelle auf das Klangliche, das Textuelle auf das Materielle treffen und erzeugt Reibungen und Verunsicherung. Nadia Tamanini nimmt die Sprache auseinander, stellt das Alphabet auf den Kopf, lässt Klänge widerhallen und setzt Wörter neu zusammen. In der Reibung zwischen Klang und Bedeutung, zwischen Fehler und Überschreibung, eröffnen sich neue Räume für Reflexion und Sinn.
In ein gepolstertes und gestepptes Leinengewebe gehüllt, auf dem Wörter durch Assonanzen, Alliterationen und Anagramme eingestickt sind, interagiert die Künstlerin mit einer vorab aufgenommenen Komposition. Diese wird zur visuellen und klanglichen Partitur und begleitet den Körper in einem Prozess der Verwandlung.
Im Garten bilden zwei textile Skulpturen aus der Serie Imparaticci – „Übungen des erneuerten Schreibens“ - weitere Orte des Fehlers und des Umherirrens. Das live aufgeführte Klanggedicht beginnt mit dem Wort REA und entfaltet sich zugleich als Ballade und als Gebet.

“Flora è contrariata” (Flora is upset) is a performative piece that gives voice and form to Flora, a figure representing nature and spring, who is here outraged, offended yet resilient.
A poetic language blends the visual and the auditory, the textual and the material, generating friction and disorientation. Nadia Tamanini breaks language apart, overturns the alphabet, makes sounds bounce, deconstructs and reconstructs words. In the friction between sound and meaning, between error and rewriting, new spaces for reflection and meaning open up.
Wrapped in a padded and quilted linen fabric, embroidered with words chosen for their assonance, alliteration and anagrams, the artist interacts with a pre-recorded composition, which becomes a visual and sonic score, accompanying the body through a process of transformation.
In the garden, two textile sculptures from the Imparaticci series - “exercises in renewed writing” -are further spaces of error and errating, in which linguistic imagination reopens ancient questions. The sound poem, performed live, begins with the word REA and, as it unfolds, becomes both a ballad and a prayer.
As new production for BAW 2026 the sculptures were created during a residency at Lottozero in Prato, in 2025.
