In Francesco Feltri's performance, the human body abandons its monumental stance and returns to the earth.
As the artist digs a nest in the soil, he simultaneously invites the audience to create a collective text-based artwork.
The work challenges anthropocentrism and opens up a shared practice of ecological vulnerability. For centuries, anthropocentrism has shaped our understanding of the world. Inspired by the posthumanist theories of Donna Haraway and Rosi Braidotti, the project questions this human-centered hierarchy and instead proposes a horizontal relationship between body, matter, and environment.
In an increasingly high-tech and disembodied society, reclaiming awareness of one's own physicality becomes a political and necessary act for imagining more sustainable forms of coexistence.
